Written on Saturday

We laughed so much last night that we cried. Susan had found her letters from college to her brother and printed out some extracts for us. The strange thing was how often people argued that something she mentioned had happened much later. Even when faced with the evidence of the dates on the letters they disagreed. We went round the table reading out the extracts, which brought back more memories, most of them hilarious. When did we ever find time to do any work? We also all agreed, on reading the exam questions she had copied to the document, that none of us could make any attempt whatsoever to answer them now.

There followed much discussion on what we should do today and the question remains open.. Some things never change. With eight of us we are never likely to reach a consensus. No doubt whatever we do will be fun but there will be much chaos involved

(There was, and it was fun)
