Reiki Workshop
The Reiki Workshop this weekend was amazing. Joyous. I saw my first auras.
First, a bright gold flame on the top of several heads. Then a pearly white 'halo' that turned to a clear pale turquoise, with a violet edge, bright, moving, shimmering.

i carry your heart with me
i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear;and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you
here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

Nearing the end
Nearing the end of Roy Strong's Diaries.
'From the moment my resignation was made public it was as if some terrible weight had been lifted from me.'

Singing
Why do I wake up singing, in my head, so often silly songs from my youth, and sometimes childhood hymns?
It must be good to wake up singing.
It must be good to wake up singing.

Reading
Reading The Roy Strong Diaries 1967-1987. Desperate name-dropping but a picture of an era, in a very rarefied part of London society. His contribution to the creation of the kind of people-friendly museum we have today cannot be over-exaggerated.
His summaries are pithy and, one suspects, accurate.
'Princess Margaret is a strange lady, pretty, tough, disillusioned and spoilt. To cope with her I decided one had to slap back which I did and survived.'
